#ModelOfTheMonth : AJ KNapp
Hey Loves!
We are almost at the end of 2018 - can you believe it? Before the year comes to a close I want to introduce a very special model for the month of November. I've had the pleasure of working with her in many capacities and she excels in ALL of them. The #ModelOfTheMonth for November of 2018 is none other than AJ Knapp from Miami, Florida! Whether she's in front or behind the camera she's a beast.
Be sure to follow her on social media both as a model and photographer and designer! Now enjoy the inside scoop on AJ below!
What Peaked Your Interest In Modeling And What Type Of Modeling Do You specialize In ( Runway, Beauty, Swim, etc.)?
Initially, I wanted to get into acting and thought modeling would be an easy path through which I would have an easier time diverting into acting. As it turned out, it wasn’t an easy path, but it was one with which I fell in love, and I kept doing it. I specialize in print modeling, most often fashion and editorial work, some runway work, and also do a lot of hair modeling work, both print and runway.
How Would You Describe Your First Modeling Experience?
Challenging, awkward, difficult for someone with a tomboy personality, but ultimately rewarding and gratifying
Where’s The Farthest (Location Wise) That
Modeling Has Taken You?
Istanbul is the furthest location modeling has taken me so far
What Are Your Goals For Modeling (Agency signing? Starting your own agency? Other?) And Have You Reached Any Of Them?
I have reached many of my goals- signing with agencies, working full time as a model, and modeling abroad being the main ones. Currently, my goals with modeling are focused on establishing myself in other markets (particularly New York) so that I can work regularly in multiple places
Have You Branched Into Anything Outside Of Modeling?
Yes, I have taken up photography, art (painting and ceramics), and costume/lingerie design/creation.
Do You Plan To Eventually Migrate Out Of Modeling? If So, How Do You Plan To Do So?
I don’t think I will ever completely migrate out of modeling, I so love being part of the creative processes in the guise of a model that I believe I will continue it, transitioning into lifestyle/commercial work when I am too old for fashion
What’s Next For You In 2019?
Hopefully, I will do another stunt traveling abroad for a month or two, and hopefully, progress towards my goal of establishing myself in New York and/or other US markets.
What's A Quote You Live By?
I have two favorites, which I tend to combine in my head- “I shall either find a way or make one” (Hannibal) and “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
