#ModelMonday: How to Dress Like a Supermodel
Hey Loves!
We are now into the second week in October! How was the first week for you? Let me know in the comments below. This month I’m focusing on image. Each week I’m going to tap into a new perspective and tips on how to work with your image and make it work for you! Today thanks to Vanessa Helmer we are focusing on How To Dress Like A Supermodel. Check out the full article below.
Ever notice how models always look amazing, even when they’re off duty? Despite the early morning calls, endless hours in front of the cameras, and late night fittings, they somehow manage to look effortlessly chic at all times.
Good genetics are a factor, or course, but it really comes down to these secret weapons.

After walking in stilettos all day, the last thing you want to do is slip on yet another pair of heels. You never know when a last minute casting is going to pop up or who’ll be walking by you on the street. It could be a model scout, a current client, or even a future employer!
Heels instantly give you better posture, making you look taller, slimmer, and more confident. Plus, they prove you can actually walk in heels (a must for every model). Remember that wearing heels doesn’t necessarily mean wearing skyscraper stilettos. Don’t be afraid to mix it up with heeled boots or wedges. More

Designer Shades
Tom Ford
No supermodel leaves the house without their favorite pair of sunglasses. The right pair of shades will make you look catwalk ready even though you a) had a horrible sleep, b) just stepped off a 12-hour flight or c) don’t have a stitch of makeup on because you’re heading to a booking. Eye-bag hiding aside, sunglasses also protect your peepers from the sun’s harmful rays and keep your delicate skin looking young. It’s win-win.

A pair of slim, fitted jeans will make your legs look longer and leaner. And, they go with everything! You can dress them up or down, tuck them into boots, wear them with heels, or pair them with a simple tank or fitted tee (which is the perfect outfit for go-sees, by the way).

A Fitted Jacket
Kate Moss
One of the best fashion investments you can make is a high-quality fitted jacket. It doesn’t have to be leather, just something simple and classic that you can dress up or dress down. You can even wear it in the summer if you’re hopping from airport to airport (airports are notoriously chilly), or slip it on over a sexy after-hours outfit on a cool summer evening.

What’s not to love about black? It’s slimming, it’s classic, it goes from day to night, and it goes with absolutely everything (even itself!). It also adds to the “blank canvas” look that model scouts and agents love. When a model is dressed simply and stylishly, it’s easier to picture her in a client’s clothes. More

Models look their best in modern, clean lines. Nothing fussy, nothing busy (that means ruffles and out). Keep makeup and jewelry simple, too, and either buff your nails or choose a neutral color. More

These simple tools are a must have in every model’s arsenal. They help hide a bad hair day and come in handy when you have a casting and need to show off your beautiful face. Just make sure your ponytail is sleek, not messy, and not over-styled. Agents and clients want to see you in your natural state.
Clear elastics look best, but you can always hide a bigger or more colorful hair tie by wrapping a piece of your hair around the ponytail holder, then securing it with a bobby pin. Also, remember that elastics break all the time, so be sure to carry a few with you. More

Confidence

What’s on the inside counts just as much as what’s on the outside. When you’re confident in yourself no matter what you’re doing or what you’re wearing, people will notice! Your inner supermodel will shine through and who knows, you might even get discovered.
